I bought this 99 92C for my brother a few days ago and have had it up on the jack detailing it today. I could be riding my bike, :Butt: I am a bit of as wimp about the weather and it's cleeeannn right now.

I use Meguiar's stuff normally, went over the chrome, then polish/creaner on the paint (black paint job, great deep and heavy paint on these Vic's!), then as coupe of coats of pure wax. Did all the billet with Mother's. The bike glows!!! 6 years old, what a testomony to the quality of these machines!

Now come the wheels. It's got cast aluminum wheels that have been turned on a lath on the sidewalls and spokes. The wheels have some small pits and corrosion on the milled areas. Hit it hard with Mother's billet cleaner with some some small amount of sucess, hard work, small results. :grit: I made a trip to the automotvie joint and picked up some Mothers Mag and Aluminum wheel cleaner which was a bit bettter but not satisfactory. I'm about 60% of orignial with about a 4-5 hour estimate to get them to that level. NOT GOOD!

You can't seen the pits beyond 5-6 feet, but if you walk around the bike (like everybody does) you can see them quite plainly.

Anybody have a solution other than a nice set of chormed and spoke wheels? I just want them to get back 90-95% of original if I can.
