What works and does not work.
Has anyone tried the Treds motorcycle rain boots?

Don't recall the brand name, but I had the rubber ones that Dean sold and they worked very well. Kind of a bugger to slip over your boots the first few times, but sure keep your feet dry.

Dean had or has the "Tote's " which I had but like you said they are hard to put on and off and mine tore.
I've got the Choko boot covers sold by Shade Tree (the ones you saw me in for leg 3 of the Black Dirt run). They're nylon/pvc uppers and rubber soles. They're stitched together, which is probably where the water gets in, but it wasn't a lot of water . . . at least not enough to get above the soles of my boots, which are nitrile, so a little water in the bottom wasn't a problem.
You can see them here (http://www.shadetreepowersports.com/cgi-bin/9EDEB328/mac/additmdtl.mac/showItemDetail?item=84-22&qtyA=0&phsO=N&desc=CHOKO%20RAIN%20BOOTS&drpshp=N&alOrd=Y&iQty=.000&oQty=.000&initQty=1&assortParent=N&itemForSale=N&styleName=Click%20here%20to%20view%20sizes&fixD=&face=.00&gftc=&stck=N&prefS=&calledFrom=DS&ordInfo1=&ordInfo2=&ordInfo3=&ordMan1=N&ordMan2=N&ordMan3=N&persCode=&persReqd=&persLink=%20&shipRemaining=0&daysBetween=0&daysBetweenFix=0&monthsBetween=0).

I ride with Cruiserworks boots. Been very happy with them, had them since about '2001 I think.

Bought the Cruiserworks boots in Daytona in 2005. Absolutely love them. Rode in the pouring rain and walked through puddles with them on and my feet stayed dry.:natur008:
