A couple of issues have developed recently. The switch that turns the spotlights off and on seems to have broken, though I don't know why. I normally leave the switch alone but decided last week to turn the spots off (first time I've actually done that). When I wanted to switch them back on, the switch wouldn't compress at all. It's not a big deal but it is annoying. I could understand if I were constantly using the switch and it finally wore out, but once?

Also, whenever I turn the bike off, then restart it later (after a few minutes or a couple of days, it doesn't seem to matter), the turn signal comes on. I thought at first that I was hitting the turn signal switch but that is not the case. It just seems to come on by itself when I restart the bike. Ever happen to you? Again, it's not a big deal but I wonder why the heck it's happening.

Any helpful thoughts would be welcome.

I have never heard of the turn signal thing.

Weird....ghost? Not Pete Caspers ghost - the real kind...

I'll find out when I take it in. Wonder if it has anything to do with all the rain driving I've been doing (300 miles on my way out to Sturgis, then another 150 miles when I went over to Hayward and back). Just as I was pulling into Pierre in early August in heavy rain, my speedometer quit. Once it dried out the next day it was fine. That's about when I noticed the turn signal acting up.

I don't think I want to ride near you Blaine - there are rain clouds that follow you.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. No rain to speak of during the bulk of summer and when I am able to get out on long rides I have rain. Went to the cabin a couple of weeks ago and had to ride home in the wet stuff. I haven't bothered washing the bike (bad idea, I know) just because I knew I'd be in the soup again. :natur008:
