First, does anyone know of a good chrome plating company to have my billet wheels dipped (in the metro area).

Second, does anyone know for sure if you can have the Brembo brake calipers powercoated? If not, does anyone have a good way to spray paint them black and it won't flake off?

Thanks much for any input.

Keep warm, spring is around the corner!

Hey Brian -

Talk to Dean at Warner's about the brake calipers. I had them painted on my KP last summer and they just used caliper paint to take care of it.

You could powdercoat the calipers, but the problem is rebuilding them. Brembo doesn't sell kits to replace the seals in the caliper pots and they would have to be removed to bake on the powdercoat. So if you have an extra caliper to use for donor seals (assuming they aren't damaged in removal) then you could do it.

I ran in to the same problem years ago when I tried to get my Brembo's chrome plated on my other bike - there wasn't anyone willing to touch the job so I ended up buying chrome calipers.

Hi, Brian.
Have you talked to John at Polish-To-Chrome over in St. Paul? He's done a number of parts for me with good results and a reasonable price.

Hey guys,

Thanks for answering my questions. I will check with Dean at Warner and Polish to Chrome about my wheels.
