Boy, this was lot's of fun. I removed my brake calipers to paint them. I went and bought brake caliper paint from Autozone. Turns out the paint is a brush on and not spray paint. Got them all painted up and put the bike back together today. Found out real fast that brake fluid takes the paint right back off. I guess I will have to do a little touch up. I thought this paint would be a little harder to remove once applied.
Also, on a side note. I have never drained and refilled and bleed brakes before. I have the service manual for my bike, but it didn't show very well how you add brake fluid to the resevior. I didn't realize that the plastic cover and the black rubber seal all needed to come out. I thought at first glance that the black rubber seal was the resevior. So it took me 3 hours of constant bleeding before I realized the seal needed to come out and put brake fluid inside the resevior and then put the seal in. Whoops.
Anyway, let me know if you plan on painting your brakes. I can give you a few tips since I have done it.
