Sad thing is, there does not appear to be anything we can do about it....
Not everyone can just up and trade in for a hybrid or economical vehicle, writing to your congressman seem to go nowhere and no one can seem to organize enough support for a successful boycott (even for one day).
I hate politics but hopefully a new president will have an effect.....I am not holding my breath though.
That is enough for my soapbox.

Boycotts like that don't work (you'll just fill up the day before or after), and the only thing you can write congress to do is get out of the way (and maybe allow for some domestic oil production . . . and maybe a new refinery or two one of these decades).
