Help!!!!!! Oh, SHIFT...

I ride a 2000 Sport Cruiser, that has been changed over to a factory Vic running board and heel toe shift set up.... 2 times this past Sunday and again yesterday, the bike seemed to "lock" into first gear, the second time it happend on Sunday I could only down shift from 5th, until it locked in first gear. Yesterday I could not get it out of first gear....each time I was able to get it out with a little time and some kicking of the shift lever, Other than that It seems to work fine and in the 900 miles I have put on since October, it has not missed a shift, or poped out of gear..... any one here ever have this problem.....

Hopefully it's just a clutch adjustment, and not a sign of something going on in the transmission. The normal transmission problems were popping out of third, and once in awhile dropping into second or locking up, so this doesn't sound like a trans issue. If you have any free play in the clutch lever, it's probably too much. On my '99 I can't have any at all, and some have to have a slight free play or their clutch slips...each bike's different.
