I'm guessing this was a followup to a conversation had up in Big Falls (unfortunately, I couldn't be there -- my eldest son's graduation party was Sunday). Clutch cable breakage has been something that I've thought about, especially every time I hear another story about it happening to someone.

I've got > 20K on my current clutch cable. I just had the bike into Mies for its 20K check-up (and it passed with a clean bill of health!), but I still like to be prepared for the simpler on-the-road repairs (like flat tires, burned out lights, etc). This will be a good thing to have on hand!
