Has anyone tried the Barnett clutch cable? And yes that is why I am asking.:grit:
Not personally, but I've heard only good things about them over on the VMC board.

I have one on my King Pin. It seems fine as far as smoother goes about the same. I have only had it on for a few months so hard to tell if it will last longer or not. I do think it looks better. So if it breaks it will look good broke.:Laugh1: From what I have read is that the barrels are different and do not break as easily. my 2 cents

I have a Barnett clutch cable Costs less, much better quality then the OEM version, and it looks good with that stainless steel mesh jacket. It was easy to install on my CC when the original left me driving home in 1st gear. I even had Barnett add a few inches from the stock length in case I ever get around to adding those more comfortable handlebars. I know mus remember to keep the cable lubricated.
I'd go with the Barnett. You won't be disappointed!

I lost two OEM cables before going with Barnett and won't be looking back. Smoother and cheaper. We'll see how long they last.
