I just bought a used Pit Bull Motorcycle Lift (http://www.cyclematters.com/motorcycle-product-reviews/motorcycle-maintenance/pit-bull-motorcycle-lift-cruiser-touring-manual-model). Funny thing was I was looking for a lift to raise my Wing high enough to take off the rear wheel. Turns out that the fellow who I got it from had adapters for the Victory V92C which he owned and bought it for. Have not raised either bike yet. Is there anyone else there using this lift?

Sparkplug,
I don't use that lift (bought mine at Sears) but I saw it demonstrated at the motorcyle show (IMS) earlier this year. Looked pretty nice and very stable. I remember it needed the adaptors for the Victory. Have fun!

I tried to use a motorcycle lift on my '07 Kingpin. For starters I put a 2"x6" under the sidestand to get the bike a little more level. Lift came in from the exhaust side. Front rail of the lift contacts the frame rail either just in front or just behind the sidestand. The back rail of the lift contacts the engine/transmission case since that hangs down below the frame rails. But the bike seemed too wobbly on the lift with that arrangement so I quit. It looked like I could put a 1"x4" wood block on the back rail of the lift on each side of the bike to get all 4 points of contact on the frame rail.
Is there a better way of doing this?

What kind of lift do you have Dean? I have a Sears Craftsman lift, and I cut out a section of the rubber blocks that are on top of the lift so that it provided some clearance for the center spine of the engine. My bike still rocks a little when it is on the lift, but it is not as bad as it used to be. It's also easier than trying to put wood under there while you're holding the bike upright and trying to get the lift in position to jack the bike up.
I have not used the Pit Bull brand, but have read excellent reviews of that lift. I just couldn't justify spending the money for something that I was only going to use a few times per year. But with a heavy bike, like a Wing or a Vision, I think that is money well spent. They are very stable.

HD guys have been using that lift for ever and I think he was the one that started the craze for every one making them.
I have a sears for my vision and you have to move it around a bit to get it just right and it only lifts the back end but its enough to pull the rear wheel.
I did see where if you remove the valance from under the vision and make a couple small block you can lift the front by using the front motor mount.
Come spring I'll find out for sure how to lift the front.
Yes its wobble sort a speak but plain a head and loosen all bolts before lifting the bike and put it on the floor to torque all bolts.
We will expect a clean shine rear wheel from now on.

I use the Sears yellow lift all the time. I went to Home Depot and got 4 chair pads about 3x3x1/2 put them on the 4 corners and works great.
