I just ordered a new set of Avon Tires for my Kingpin. Does anyone have reccomendations for where I can get them installed and balanced locally at a reasonable cost?
Thanks
I just use my dealer, but they don't balance, so I use DynaBeads in the tires.

You could try Warners in Bloomington or Diggers in Victoria.

The only thing I would recommend is using someone that is familiar with Vics.
It should take about 2.5 hrs. of labor to remove, install and balance both tires and align the belt on the rear.
There have been some folks that have used other dealers, not familiar with Vics, that have paid the price having belts aligned improperly. It might save some money in the short run, but a new belt is about $180 plus the install.
Something to consider.

Donald,
I don't know how old your bike is, or when the last tire replacement was on it, but some of the older vics had bearings that would wear around the 35k mark. I think that was mostly fixed in the last 3 years or so, but you may also want to look at replacing the bearings. These vics are heavy, man!:weed3:
BTW - my preference is to avoid Kline, if you were thinking of going there. They're OK for some things, but they have a revolving employee door there and are really more of a Suzuki shop, with the Vics as a sideline (IMHO).

I have had great luck with Diggers and Warner.

If you have a bike lift you can remove the wheels your self and take them any place that will mount and balance them. before you do this take a sharpie or grease pencil and mark a line on the adjuster and the swingarm, this way when you put the wheel back on you line up the marks(make sure you mark both sides) and your tension and alignment will be the same as before.

Thanks guys. I ended up taking into Warners. It was not cheap but I am happy with the result.
