Folks
The Hammer started developing a sticky clutch in that it does not fully release when I release the handle plus that 1/8th inch of free play is hard to get the handle to wiggl. Seems it may have some "crud" in the handle pivot mount or ???
I sprayed contact cleaner into it (without removing handle) and it seemed to help for about 6 hours of riding then got sticky again.
The clutch works fine.
Any have this before?

Hopefully I can take it into a dealer in IL or WI this week. Staying at my brother's place so can get in some riding inIL & WI before returning home next Sunday.

Jeff, speaking from experience, I'd change the clutch cable.

How many miles do you have on the bike.

My clutch cable broke at 15,400, might be cheap insurance to change it.

Skinny-on my 2nd cable now and that broke around 9000 miles.
Now that handle mount is clean and handle mount bolt is tightened correctly it is working fine.

27,500 on my original cable (so far). That amounts to just over two years of use. I keep it well maintained, and made sure early on that there weren't any burrs interfering with the movement of the barrel in the hand lever.

Of course, more importantly, I also carry a Save-ur-Ride cable repair kit, just in case!!

Don't forget the black moly on the barrels.

Just used the Sav-u-Ride last week on my Jackpot. That was a replacement for the Sav-u-Ride I had in there from April. I guess now I better order a Barnett and really save the Sav-u-Ride for when I need it. That product works great!
