A weird topic I know, but here goes....
A friend told me of a trick to get a bill changer (vending machine, etc.) to accept a bill that it would otherwise reject. The other day I got a chance to try it. This bill was in bad shape and the machine wouldn't take it, so I spit on it...not a wet spit or goober...more like a moist, lippy blast of air. After doing that, the machine accepted it no problem.
This poll will stay open for a long time. If you've never tried this, but get a chance to sometime, come back here and vote!

Oh webmaster's webmaster... shouldn't this be under "Tech Tips and Tricks"?!? :Laugh1:
Never tried it, but some to think of it, when I take the kids swimming and need some sodas, those soggy bills seldom have a problem in the machines. You might have something there. ... and spit is probably much cleaner than the pool water! Eeeewwww

Me, I do not use a vending machine often enough to be of any help on this poll.

Perhaps, Grasshopper. From your experience it would seem that the trick could be expanded as to mode of execution, except in central IL where I live!

I believe the ladies at the mens club frown on this practice when using their bill changer.

Well, I tried it again and it worked again. I must have the right kind of spit.

Do you get to vote again to make it a tie? :Jester: I can't vote as I do not use a vending machine more than once every two years so have not tried it.

There I broke the tie. (although I didn't use spit. worked in a weld shop last summer and rubbed it the condensation on my pop can)
it did actually work.
