Well I haven't had any luck selling my bike so i've decided I better get it ready for summer riding. I'd been looking at Hardstreet bags (they make bags for victory direct) I called to ask some questions and got one hell of a deal. They sold me there leather wrapped bag for $500 even. They retail for around $900. Now, this is without the mounting brackets (I already had them) But wow what a deal!! They are discontinued now because they didn't sell as many of the leather wrapped models as they thought they would.

Well best of luck, I just thought i'd share!!

I'll post pics when i get them installed

Do you have a pic of what those bags look like on your ride? The next thing I am buying is bags for my 06 pin, but I can't decide what to get since I can't get a look at anything on the bike.

Thanks.

Hopefully the pics load for me. These are from Barracuda Custom here in Minneapolis. They are semi hard leather bags. Very easy to remove. 4 twist locs per bag and off they come.

And they were on sale for $379.95 including all bracikets!

Roger,
those are the Cruis'n Jumbo or Extra Jumbo bags made by Saddleman. I got a set from Dennis Kirk in 2004 that I mounted to some EZ Brackets. They almost lasted me 3 years, but I'm pretty rough on stuff. Some lessons:
1. Treat them gently when they're really hot from the sun - they may not pop back to their original shape. Expecially avoid folding anything.
2.) Keep the velcro clean. If they get fuzz on the sticky side of the velcro, they have a tendency to fly open.
3.) Re-inforce the back side of the bag with something more solid, like a sheet of rigid plastic. That should prolong the cracking on the back of the bag.

Mike - There are a couple pictures of the hard street bags on a kingpin at:

Mike

I have a set of the Victory leather bags and brackets from an 06 KP. They are in great shape. They are the same bags that are in the Vic brochure. PM me if you are interested.
