:grit: While many of you are out today, I'm stuck with a bike that won't start. I neglected to add Stabil to the fuel last fall and have a feeling that the injectors might be plugged. Any suggestions (short of hauling it to the dealer)?

You'll have to give us a few clues as to what it is doing.

Does it turn over?
Does it pop?
Are the plugs wet?
Etc.

Greg,

It wasn't getting any fuel. An occasional pop but that was about it. I did add Stabil and cycled the EFI a few times and it finally started. I decided to also change out the plugs. The old ones weren't wet but had lots of carbon. Lots of smoke so I took it out for a 60-mile ride. Seems to run fine now.

I am a big believer in Seafoam. Run that through it..

I too believe in seafoam after this weekend. I have a 01 dodge truck that sat most of the winter, started er up saturday and after a bout 15 minutes it refused to idle and would kill under about 2000 rpm, 1 can of seafoam and 5gals of gas and 20 minutes of babying the throttle,It runs like a millon bucks!:friday:

I used to use Sta-Bil and never had very good luck starting previous bikes in the spring. Ever since I switched to Seafoam I've never had a problem. This is the first spring with the TC and it fired up just like it did every day last fall. I highly recommend Seafoam.

Never used it. I'm always a very fearfull of gas additives. Seen so many people have problems with the additives loosening rust and varnish on the tank walls and plugging up the filter. Then stranding them miles from home. I always go with the "store it full/start it early" method. Never had any issues unless it sat for a lot longer then Winter. In my small engines(mowers, blowers) I always run them dry. They don't hold much and smaller volumes seem to degrade faster.

......but then I took the boy trick or treating on it Halloween night, so it barely sat 5 months. The old car never complains either. She doesn't ever dance in the snow either.

That said....... *Knock on Wood* My day may be coming....
