Anyone have the definitive answer as to the best seat for the ride? I have an '04 Vegas with about a 45min seat ride before it becomes uncomfortable. What say you o men of the legendary iron butt ranks, have an opinion?

Welcome to the TCVR.
If you are planning on doing any long distance rides I would reccomend a mustang seat with the adjustable backrest.

It looks like John was a little slow pulling the trigger. He must be feeling "BLUE" this morning.

Nothing "Blue" about it, John is always a "little slow", but we love him anyway. Poor guy, he can't help it.

Bruce,
Welcome to Twin Cities Vic centRal! Greatest guys on 2 wheels. (except for Terry and probably Swiffer - but they're special)
Bottom line - ANYTHING is better than the original 03-04 Vegas seat. Just decide if your a soft mattress guy or a firm mattress guy (what's your sleep number)
Most like the Mustang. They're much softer than the Corbin. I have really liked my Corbin Dual Tour, but I'm a little differently dimensioned than Grego or Jonny. I was about 45 minutes on my stock 04 Vegas as well. When you first sit on one, the Corbin doesn't feel that great. It feels very firm. Then it breaks in over the first 300-500 miles and then pretty much stays that way. I think the Mustang pretty much bounces back every time you get off the seat.
I'm not sure how long the Mustang lasts for. My Corbin is still in use after about 50,000 miles and I just made moves to replace it this Spring (though I haven't yet).
If you are interested in a Mustang, I've got a brand new one with backrest and a new tomahawk luggage rack/sissy bar. I got a good deal on it, and am willing to take 15% less. I had a little change of employment situation this summer that made me change my mind about some new goodies on the Vegas for this year. PM or call if interested.
(BTW - Terry and Swiffer are on 3-wheels - that's why they're special)
