Noticed today that there is a small oil stain under the right fork of my 06 Jackpot. When I rub my fingers on the bottom of the the fork right under the axle, there is a reddish oil (looks like tranny fluid to me).

Any thoughts on why, what and how it happened? Unless it is something easy to fix most likely be bringing it in to be fixed when I can.

My guess is that it's the sealing washer (part 20 on the diagram)

If it is you can get replacements from McMaster-Carr a lot cheaper than from the Vic dealer.

Not sure about the why, what and how, but to replace it you would have to remove the axle and take the bolt (part 21) out. I don't think you would lose too much oil and it would probably be okay. Otherwise if you do lose a lot of oil you would have to take the forks off to add oil (and might as well change the oil while you're at it).

I replaced the seals on my TC this past spring. It really wasn't too bad. Simply changing the oil is a piece of cake.

Judging from the diagram it appears to be about the same as my TC. Of course you will need the service manual to get proper torque specifications.
