The Ride Reports forum at this bulletin board is a great place to visit if you're looking for ideas or previews about long motorcycle vacations. "Adventure Riding" is loosely defined as long distance touring in remote locations on mixed surfaces, usually on a heavy dual-purpose bike such as a BMW GS, KTM LC4, Honda Trans Alp, etc.

The Ride Reports comprise a mix of really great photo essays that are sometimes all pavement, and sometimes heavily gravel- or dirt-oriented.
